Building awareness and conversations around NYX's Barbie Movie collaboration.
To celebrate the launch of NYX’s collaboration with Barbie The Movie, the team at created a beach-inspired activation, promoting the limited-edition Barbie makeup collection for all beauty enthusiasts. Visitors were invited to try out the new products and indulge in various other Barbie-themed experiences.
Our goal was to create a vibrant video that mirrors Barbie’s iconic aesthetic, featuring eye-catching colour contrasts and playful transitions, while also capturing the energetic atmosphere of the event.
Deciding on the route to take for this Barbie video was quite clear but also had it's own challenges. The main being, 'how can we make a video that's as close to a Barbie video but also represent a make up brand?'.
Our second challenge was somewhat unexpected. The weather. Everyday we were checking, but as the shoot got closer and closer the rain chance only grew in percentage. So, taking this into account, we came up with a few 'musts' during pre-production:
